Not sure where to start? Ask ChatGPT to help you.
Describe what you want in plain English:
"I want ChatGPT to focus only on resumes, avoid assumptions, and ask before making major changes."
Then ask: "Convert this into a ModeForge rules list."
Paste the result into the ModeForge editor, click Save, and your rules are live.
The Undo button restores your last saved state. It does not track every keystroke — if you want to revert, click Undo before saving.
The default shortcut to open the ModeForge editor is Alt+Shift+M. You can customize this in your browser:
chrome://extensions/shortcutsModeForge is your Personal Context Layer (PCL) — it permanently injects your rules, preferences, and workflows into every AI conversation so you stop explaining yourself every time.
Yes. ModeForge Basic requires an active ChatGPT account at chatgpt.com or chat.openai.com.
Multi-platform support is coming with Standard ($3.99/month). Basic covers ChatGPT only.
Your rules are stored locally on your device. We don't read or sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Your rules stay in the extension. You lose access to premium features, but nothing is deleted.
ModeForge works on Chrome, Brave, and Edge (desktop only).
Go to your browser's extension shortcuts page and confirm Alt+Shift+M is assigned to ModeForge. Another extension may be using the same shortcut — reassign if needed.
